Built during the winter of 1974 when the economy was tight and nobody was ordering big boats. To keep the skilled labor employed Bruckman built 15 33 footers semi-custom, with different interiors and with many options for hardware etc. ALl the bulkheads are 2 sided teak marine ply. They are glassed into the hull. You can just see the balsa coring middle left where it hasn’t yet been painted over. The cockpit seats and grating were custom made to fit. The chart table was over the foot end of the berth with the B&G selsyn compass poking through the lid. I shot these with a Polaroid camera SX70. I still have the originals after 40 years.

CUSTOM 3/4T - 33 FT

My friend Nick who was a designer and who convinced me to get a grey hull, which was unique in those days. It was a good color choice as it hasn’t faded in 40 years. This was the day it splashed at Bronte.
